So I've been promising a look book for..... 2months now?? Anyway - farrrr too long. We actually shot this lookbook literally 2 months ago when the weather was lovely and it's been waiting patiently to be edited while I run around getting myself organised with a million other things. I have been looking at a hundred other blogs and their lookbooks and loved their style - but couldn't help but think most of them were pretty similar. I love vintage fashion and, incidently, painting. So I thought could I combine the two! With the help of my lovely other half (a designer too! half my luck:) we sat down and created our very first look book - I am so proud! He still reads comics and is very into the comic scene (not the comic-convention type nerd but the kind that knows the characters of all comics and can tell you the relationship they all have with one another.) This is just a teaser - love doing this! This vintage maxi dress is just to die for - I had the most fun shooting it. The skirt is literally 2 metres in circumference and falls just perfectly. The only quarrel I have with this dress is the awkwardly placed daisies on the bust - but you only notice it when it's pointed out don't you? We are keeping this baby for a special occasion then putting it up for auction later - we will let you know when it comes up!
There are more photos to come over the next couple of weeks so stay tuned!
Tell us what you think - do you like the concept?
Wow! This is amazing, I loove the bold lipstick, the vintage hair and the 'old movie star glamour' vibes coming from these photos! J'adore! xoxo www.avenuemaria.blogspot.com
