There is something sad about getting older. We all do it. Although inside we are still the same. No one ever wants to grow old I don't think - remembering the things we used to be able to do. That's why I love these pictures I found by Tom Hussey. They tell a story, all the while helping us realise that our life is short , so make the most of it and remember the important things.
I think that's why I love vintage so much too. It helps to remember the good old days and to remind us that our digital, app-loving, throw away generation is a new concept. Back in the day things were made to last, to tell a story, to give to your grandkids; so they could give it to their grandkids. I can't imagine leaving my iPod in a will to any of my kids. I hope they'd cherish the memories and person I was when we were their age. Tell them the stories that these pictures tell.
I'm really going for rather serious posts this week aren't I? Hmmm. Well for something a little lighter - get to know the both of us a little more on Walk of Fashion blog, where the lovely Isabel has featured us for Girls of the Blogosphere! Yayballs! And also there is only a week to go before we draw our giveaway - so make sure you enter below!

What a wonderful selection of photographs to share darlings, there is something sad about growing old but it's a part of life. I work in the cosmetic surgery industry and I find women (and) men constantly trying to hide from aging...silly really.
ReplyDeleteThankyou for following and leaving such lovely comments my darlings

ReplyDeleteThese photos are so beautiful and touching, thank you for sharing them! I often wonder what my grandparents were like during their lives before I knew them. Sadly I can't find out now because three of them are dead and one lives really far away. I still think of them often though. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is touching. It makes me think about the time I asked my mom will I ever have wrinkles lol
