a) photographer boyfriend/significant other; or
b) a tripod
So I thought I'd just throw my clothes on the parquetry floor and see how it goes. Kind of like DIY Polyvore, but much less classy and styled. Welcome to my world of fashion. I realise that this is almost a fashion blogging faux par....
"WHAT!?!" I hear the purists scream -
"An outfit post with no-one actually in it????"
"Mwahhahahahaha" I laugh in an evil-character-disney-style-way.
What can I say - I'm a rebel. A big one.
Mink Pink blouse (the only designer outfit piece I own)
Thrifted cotton candy Harajuku skirt
Thrifted vintage wedges
Jewellery had for years - wood never goes out of style
So what do you think of my fashion post - result of pure laziness and being too cheap to get myself a decent tripod - feel free to spill your guts.

ReplyDeleteeven though you don't have a tripod or a photographer boyfriend it doesn't matter. the first shot is great, nice idea using the floor.

how adorable is that dress?
ReplyDeleteI too don't have a tripod or a photographer boyfriend, so I usually have my mom or a friend take my pictures (or a stack of books :P). I use the floor whenever I take pictures of individual pieces!
LOVE LOVE LOVE. This is absolutely adorable. Love the soft, feminine colours and gorgeous layout!

What? No photog bf/hubby or a tripod?!?! Unfollow!!...jokes jokes...The pics are still awesome:P
ReplyDeleteThe floor is actually kind of a nice background! But if you have a light fixture on the ceiling that hangs down at all, you can put it on a hanger. I did this to sell outfits on Ebay. There's also the "over-the-door" hanger trick, but it is hard to make it hang straight down and you have to take an angle shot. Or, if you get really ambitious, a lot of digicams have timer functions. All that said, you actually have an attractive floor, so that works too!
ReplyDeleteAwww would love to see you on those though!! Any friend can be a good cameraman! :p

thanks for visiting my blog :) and the outfit is lovely.. though it's not on you :p I usually just force my mom to take my pictures.. or get some friends to do it! Once, since I don't own a tripod either, I had to put my camera on furniture or whatever is high enough to take pictures..yeah, big fail.

love the soft girliness of this outfit
ReplyDeleteAh it doesn't matter that you are not wearing outfits I don't think. I have to admit that I started my blog without wearing clothes too. You've assembled your outfit well; I like your shoes! A while ago, I invested in an 'octopus tripod' which retails for about $30, they are awesome, you plug your camera in (fits most) twist it around anything - chair, tree branches, whatever, and put on self timer.
ReplyDeletelovely post & great blog! :)
ReplyDeletethanks for the comment on my blog :)
