I read American series books as a kid, and always came across the term 'Candy Striper'. I had no idea what they were supposed to be - they always gave out lollies to sick kids in the books. But in my head I had always imagined them in an outfit like this one. I have since been informed, however, the Candy Stripers usually wear pink (duh! Candy - Pink - Cotton Candy - get it?) The beauty of the imagination. Characters, hairstyles and clothes are whatever you interpret the words to be! Rad little clogs from the lovely Damsel Vintage.
